Abstract:
Personnel Preparation programs are challenged to ensure graduates are prepared to use Interprofessional Practices. Accreditation requirements and alignment with best-practices provide a foundation for workplace preparation that ensures future integration of interprofessional collaboration.
The micro credential includes completion of high-impact IPE/IPC experiences encompassing both intra- and inter-professional application of Interprofessional Core Competencies. Research provides rationale and implementation empirical support for inclusion of a variety of interprofessional education micro credential experiences that recognizes the duality of role development. The process for development of the micro credential is presented as a pedagogical model.. Completion of the micro credential provides workplace value added.
